Overview

PSG Institute of Management (PSGIM) was founded in 1995 as a part of PSG College of Technology which was founded by Dr. G.R. Damodaran, the founder-principal of the college. The Department of Management Studies of this college was upgraded to PSG Institute of Management with a view to enabling the institute to grow into a full-fledged management institute to offer academic and research programmes, Management Development Programmes (MDP) and consultancy services. The institute offers full time and part time programmes in Management, PG Diploma in Management and Doctoral programmes in Management. Apart from these, the institute also offers two year full time MBA programs of the University of Toledo, USA, and HoF University. The MBA and PGDM programmes offered by PSG Institute are affiliated with Anna University, Chennai and approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Students of this institute are placed in reputed companies across all industries. The highest domestic salary offered is 7 lakhs per annum.

Campus

The PSGIM campus hosts state-of-the-art infrastructure including wi-fi network, well-furnished classrooms equipped with audio visual technology, the Learning Resource Centre at PSGIM spreads over 7500 sq ft housing a library stocked with 38,000 books, 325 journals, 10 leading English dailies, CDs and DVDS; it has a seating capacity of 150. The institute offers an open amphitheatre with a seating capacity of 450 people. Other facilities include a yoga hall, computer centre, gym and a convention hall.

General Information

Admission

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50 percent marks from any recognized university. For PGDM, preferably minimum two years of work experience is required. Candidates will be selected based on MAT/CAT/CMAT/TANCET scores, followed by a round of group discussion and personal interview. Fees The programme fee for the entire PGDM course is Rs.6,60,000 including international tour fee of Rs.1,00,000.

Accommodation

PSGIM provides hostels for both boys and girls. Hostel facilities include wi-fi connected rooms, gym, recreation hall, indoor and outdoor games.
