The Tamil Nadu class 11th result was declared today, July 31, 2020 at 9.30 am. The result is available on the website tnresults.nic.in and was released by the Directorate of Government Examinations. The TN plus one result date and time was confirmed by the state education minister, KA Sengottaiyan on July 29.
Earlier, Sengottaiyan tweeted, “Examination results will be released on July 31, 2020 at 9.30 am for students who have written Class 11 and Class 12 re-sit. Exam results will be sent via SMS to the mobile number provided by the students and individual candidates in the schools where they have studied.”
About 92.8 percent students in Vocational stream; 96.33 percent in Science stream; 96.28 percent in Commerce stream and 94.1 percent students in Arts stream exam this year. As per reports, Coimbatore district has recorded the highest pass percentage with 98.10 percent. A total of 96.04 percent students cleared the exam.
According to DGE TN “Candidates securing 35 marks each in all the six subjects out of 100 (even compartmentally) are eligible for award of Higher Secondary First Year / Second Year Certificates.” It added, “A New System of issuing temporary mark certificates (Provisional Certificate) was introduced from the year 2015.The certificate will be valid only for a period of 90 days. Candidates can check the accuracy of the marks and their detail and in case of any discrepancy, it can be rectified in the original mark certificate.”
The DGE TN had release the class 12 result on July 16 in which 92.3 percent students had passed. A total of 7,99,717 candidates had appeared for the plus two exams in March.
