Overview

Affiliated with the Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), DPS Azaad Nagar is a coeducational day-cum-boarding school that offers progressive K-12 education to 2500 students mentored by 100 competent teachers. 

Delhi Public School, Azaad Nagar was promoted by Alok Misra in 2004 under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society (DPS Society) with the objective of ‘imparting excellent education aimed at the holistic development of students in order to prepare global citizens and agents of social change committed to humanistic values.’

Over the years, the school has established an excellent reputation with its excellent board results and achievements in sports and co-curricular arenas. Moreover, its distinguished alumni have gone onto become successful citizens contributing to the growth and development of the nation and mankind.

Campus

DPS Azaad Nagar is sited on a sprawling, lush green 17-acre campus  that houses an Administrative Block and three Academic Blocks. The school’s contemporary academic infrastructure includes 85 spacious and well ventilated classrooms, a well-stocked library, 50 ICT rooms, nine well-equipped labs including a robotics lab and a coding lab. 

Committed to holistic student development, the school management has invested generously in an enabling infrastructure for sports and co-curricular education. The campus hosts facilities for horse-riding, golf, archery, shooting, squash, lawn tennis and badminton, among others. 

Academics

Affiliated with CBSE, the school provides student-centred competency-based education through diverse learning opportunities enabling each child to learn at his/her pace under the guidance of skilled, experienced and patient educators. Learning approaches/pedagogies followed include:

Co-curricular education

Admission

Eligibility criteria for admission 

The age of the student, as on September 30 of the academic session for which the admission is sought, should be:

Playgroup – 3 years, Nursery – 4 years, Prep – 5 years, and so on. 

Registration Process 

1. A duly filled Registration Form available from the school / online is to be submitted with the non-refundable, non-transferable Registration Fee within 2 days from the date of issue of the form or the last date given.
2. A copy of the Birth Certificate must be attached with the Registration Form.
3. Students who have attended other schools need to submit a photocopy of the report card of the last two academic years of the previous school.

Admission Process

1. The Admission Form must be duly filled and returned to the school within three working days from the grant of admission.
2. Admission will become valid only after the complete payment of Admission Fee before the due date as well as on the submission and completion of all the necessary forms, documents and certificates.
3. Original Birth Certificate and Transfer certificate will be required at the time of grant of admission along with two passport size photographs and other mandatory documents as per the respective class.
4. The child will also be assessed on his/her academic readiness and motivation; social and emotional development; family’s co-operation in working with the school and meeting the needs of the child.
5. The school, on accepting the registration of a child, is not in any way bound to grant admission to that child as it is purely based on availability of seats. The decision of the Principal regarding admission will be final and binding.
