The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 12 examination results May 12, ending the anxious wait for over 12 lakh students across the country. The results were declared at 2 pm, and students can check their marks on the official website of CBSE.
As per the data released by CBSE, the overall pass percentage this year is 87.37%, which is a significant increase from last year’s pass percentage of 88.78%. Out of the total 12,96,318 students who registered for the exam this year, 12,96,126 students appeared, and 12,92,728 students passed.
Speaking about the results, CBSE Chairman Manoj Ahuja said, “I congratulate all the students who have passed the examination and wish them the very best for their future endeavors. This year, we have seen a remarkable increase in the pass percentage, which is a testament to the hard work put in by both students and teachers.”
The results of the CBSE Class 12 examination are crucial for students as they determine their admission to colleges and universities for higher education. The board has said that it will release a detailed notification soon regarding the admission process and cut-off criteria for various colleges and universities.
Meanwhile, students can download their mark sheets and pass certificates from the Digilocker platform, which is an initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to provide a secure and convenient way to store and access digital documents.
Overall, the announcement of the CBSE Class 12 results has brought relief and happiness to students and their families, who have been eagerly awaiting the outcome of the evaluation process.
