Delhi: Government introduces DoE Nirikshan app to address school issues

September 29, 2023

On Thursday, the Delhi government unveiled a mobile application aimed at enhancing the academic experience for both students and teachers, as well as providing a platform to address school-related concerns promptly, according to officials.

Named the “DoE Nirikshan” app, it has been specifically designed to empower students and teachers to raise concerns related to schools and ensure their swift resolution. Users can access the app using their student and teacher IDs, and it is expected to revolutionize the way issues in Delhi government schools are handled, as per a statement by the Directorate of Education (DoE).

The DoE Nirikshan app serves as a dynamic communication platform, allowing users to directly submit requests concerning various school-related matters to the administration. It is also set to play a crucial role in disseminating information, streamlining, and digitizing the inspection of essential aspects such as infrastructure, supplies, midday meals, and stationary and uniform-related issues.

Education Minister Atishi highlighted the app’s features, emphasizing the Delhi government’s commitment to implementing technological solutions to simplify the lives of students and teachers. She explained that this technological intervention by the DoE would be extremely beneficial in swiftly addressing the needs of students and teachers within schools and reducing the duration of complaint resolution by the school administration and the Directorate of Education.

The app empowers students to report challenges they encounter, such as a shortage of desks, benches, or blackboards, directly to their school’s principal. Once concerns are submitted, both teachers and students can track the status of their grievances within the app itself.

The entire process of handling complaints and queries will be overseen by deputy district education officers at the zonal, district, and headquarters levels. Exclusive access to change the status of complaints and queries will be reserved for school heads.
