Ketto is one of the most affordable and transparent crowdfunding platforms available. If you are looking for a way to make a difference in the world, Ketto is a great place to start.

We at Ketto believe that great changemakers starting their youth. Children are the citizens of tomorrow and have the power to shape the future of the country. And with our School Crowdfunding Program, students can, in an innovative way, give back to society and achieve their extra-curricular milestones. In addition, it can help them hone their life skills such as leadership, negotiation and confidence.

Ketto is a 0% platform fee crowdfunding platform. When schools or students who are part of Ketto’s School Crowdfunding Program raise funds to support an NGO working towards a cause such as animal welfare, education, etc., the funds are transferred to the beneficiary NGO without any deductions.

How does the programme work?

1. The school picks an NGO or a cause it wishes to support

Ketto approaches schools, and the idea of education crowdfunding is pitched to them. They are given the option to select the cause and the NGO. Sometimes, schools pick NGOs that they would like to raise funds for. Once the school is onboard, Ketto’s campaign managers take it forward and manage the campaign for 14-21 days.

2. An induction on crowdfunding

Once the school has chosen the NGO they want to raise funds for, the Ketto team and a representative from the chosen NGO will visit the school. Together, they will explain to the students and teachers what crowdfunding is and how it works. Then, they will discuss the impact that crowdfunding can have on the

lives of others and share stories of how crowdfunding has helped people in need.

They will also provide tips on how the school can create a successful crowdfunding campaign. Finally, they will discuss the importance of having a clear goal, a compelling story, and a strong marketing plan. If any

students have any doubts or questions, the Ketto team and the NGO representative will do their best to resolve them.

3. Students are sensitised about the cause through an orientation

Student orientation is an important part of Ketto’ s School Crowdfunding Program. It helps students understand the cause they are crowdfunding for and why it is important. The Ketto team and the NGO representative will explain the cause for which the students will be raising funds for and why it is important. They will discuss the need for the cause and how the money will be used. This is done through presentations, discussions, and other activities. This helps students to get involved in the campaign and to make a difference in the world. Interested students can then fill out a Google form and register for the fundraising campaign.

4. School campaign page and individual campaign pages are shared

Once the students have learned about crowdfunding and are excited about the cause, they can create their own individual campaign pages. The school also creates a campaign page, which is used to raise money for the overall cause. The students who had filled out the Google form are then sent an email with a personalised message and the campaign link so that the campaigner, in this case, the students, can start sharing the campaign with their circle and raising funds for the cause.

5. A felicitation programme is organised at the end to reward the top performers

Once the crowdfunding campaign concludes, a felicitation programme is organised to reward the top fundraisers. This is a great way to thank the students for their hard work, celebrate the success of the crowdfunding campaign and motivate students to continue to make a difference in the world. While all the students who have participated in the crowdfunding process receive certificates of participation, the top 3-5 fundraisers who have surpassed their fundraiser goals are rewarded with trophies and medals. The participating school is awarded a shield.
