The University of Lucknow has announced the dates for its undergraduate entrance test, providing aspiring students with a clear timeline to prepare for the examination. The test, scheduled between June 30 and July 6, will serve as the gateway for admission to various undergraduate courses, including BA, BSc, BCom, and others. The entrance test will follow the familiar format of a multiple-choice-based examination.
Durgesh Srivastava, the spokesperson for LU, shared important details about the entrance test. According to Srivastava, the test will be conducted for a duration of 90 minutes and will comprise 100 objective-type questions. Importantly, there will be no negative marking, allowing students to attempt all questions without the fear of losing marks. Each question will carry two marks, emphasizing the importance of accuracy and precision in the test.
Srivastava emphasized that the entrance test will evaluate candidates’ knowledge of the 10+2 syllabus. The specific subjects covered in the examination will vary depending on the desired course of study. Aspiring BA students should anticipate questions from subjects such as Hindi, English, geography, history, civics, psychology, and economics. On the other hand, BCom and BCom (Hons) applicants will be tested on their understanding of mental ability, commerce, accounting, commercial mathematics, economics, and computer-related concepts.
For students aiming to crack the BSc (mathematics) entrance test, a comprehensive preparation strategy is required. The test will encompass physics, chemistry, mathematics, mental aptitude, and a basic understanding of computer applications. Conversely, BSc (biology) candidates should focus on chemistry, botany, zoology, mental aptitude, and fundamental computer knowledge to succeed in the examination.
Prospective law students should prioritize their preparation in certain areas to ensure a competitive performance. Srivastava highlighted the significance of knowledge in legal general awareness, history, general science, reasoning, and mental ability for aspiring law candidates.
With the announcement of the entrance test schedule, LU aims to provide ample time for students to organize their study plans and make necessary preparations. Aspiring applicants are encouraged to utilize the given timeline effectively to maximize their chances of securing admission to their desired undergraduate programs at Lucknow University.
