Overview

Manorama School of Communication (MASCOM), Kottayam was set up in 2002 with the objective of providing quality manpower for the media industry. It trains students to think critically and to gather and present information quickly, accurately and interestingly. It inculcates in the students an understanding of the role of journalists in Indian society and develops in them a deep appreciation for meticulous research and careful analysis. Being a non-profit institute, MASCOM keeps the course fee affordable so that journalism education is accessible to everyone. MASCOM students get placed in reputed media organisations. Over the past few years, leading names like Reuters, Deccan Chronicle, The Week, The New Indian Express, The Telegraph and pagalguy.com have hired from MASCOM campus in large numbers.
