Odisha: Free online coaching for NEET and JEE to class 11 & 12 students

November 30, 2023

The Odisha government has made the decision to offer complimentary online coaching for NEET and JEE to students in class 11 and 12 across various higher secondary schools in the state.

Raghuram R Iyer, the Director of Higher Secondary Education, communicated this decision to the principals of all government and non-government aided plus-II colleges on Wednesday.

The initiative aims to provide additional online coaching to enhance the competitive abilities of students aspiring to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The coaching will be conducted in the virtual mode. Therefore, principals of higher secondary schools without smart classrooms equipped with interactive panels or smart TVs have been instructed to install the necessary systems.

Acknowledging that several higher secondary schools have received assistance for the development of smart classrooms under a scheme by the Planning and Coordination Department, the director urged the principals to make arrangements for the installation of interactive panels or Smart TVs promptly.

For those higher secondary schools that have not received funds for this purpose, the institutions are permitted to utilize available funds from the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) account or Higher Secondary School (HSS) development fund, following the existing guidelines of the finance department, as mentioned in the letter.
