Overview

Acharyashri Sudarshan Patna Central School is a coeducational day cum boarding school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and the medium of instruction is English. Sited in the New Bye Pass premises of Patna, it is a 30 year old institution founded by Acharya Shri Sudarshan on January 2, 1980.

Along with an educational institution, Patna Central School aims to be a workshop of knowledge and wisdom. It aims to tutor the inborn talents of the students in the right direction and nurture them for a better future. A special feature of the school is that it pays an extra amount of attention towards nurturing a girl child into a graceful and confident lady of tomorrow.

Campus

The school campus is divided into Administrative block, Academic block, Hostel block for boys and Montessori block. The school houses a conference hall for organizing national and international events.

The Academic block comprises laboratories for subjects such as Science, English language and computer. Classrooms are spacious and airy with ample amount of light. Separate Smart classes are provided for the students. The school also houses a well stocked library with over 15,000 volumes of books along with a separate CD room and an audio visual room.

There is also an in house printing press, dance room, music room and a staff room.

The Administrative block hosts the reception counter and offices where administrative work is carried out, besides transport and banking facilities.

The Hostel block accommodates three different buildings for students of standard I to XII, a medical room with regularly visiting physician and a permanent medical caretaker and quarters for the Hostel Superintendent, House Master and residential teachers.

Academics

Affiliated to CBSE, the school follows the norms and guidelines laid down by the CBSE Board.

The school conducts special classes to prepare students for the IIT-JEE (Main+Advance) and Medical Entrance (NEET) examinations.

Special counselling classes are arranged for girls to assist them with their health problems. The school leverages information and communication technology to make the teaching-learning process more interesting and effective.

A special edition of monthly newsletter known as ‘Sudarshan Times’ and the Annual Mega magazine is published by the students under the supervision of the faculty members, which helps the students to develop their writing and creative skills.

Admission

Students seeking admission are required to appear for and qualify in the written and oral test conducted by the Admission Department.

Students of all classes need to submit three passport size photographs.
