A political science, public administration and teaching alumna of Panjab University with an honorary doctorate conferred by the University of Columbia (USA), Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati acquired valuable teaching and admin experience in several K-12 schools of Haryana. Among them: DAV School, Karnal, the Senior Model School, Rohtak, Guru Nanak Public School, Chandigarh. Impacted by an acute shortage of good quality secondary schools in the fast-growing new city of Gurgaon, in 1980 she invested her modest savings of Rs.20,000 to start BBMS-Sector 4 over four decades ago. An advocate of innovative practices, Dr. Gulati has introduced several firsts at Blue Bells including the Atal Tinkering Lab, Language Lab, NIIT Lab, Design Lab, Music Production Room etc.
Dr. Gulati was conferred the Global Education Leaders Award by the India-UAE Partnership Summit in 2018. She also received the Bharat Nirman Award by the Promoting Achievements Foundation, Delhi in 2019 and the Global Innovative School Award by GISA Gala in Dubai the same year.
