SP Jain’s Executive MBA programme clocks up record enrolments

May 11, 2022

SP Jain School of Global Management, a Forbes #12 ranked business school, has recently reported around 400 percent growth in enrolment for its Executive MBA (EMBA) programme.

The EMBA programme at SP Jain is a part-time 18-month programme for busy and experienced managers who are looking to transition to leadership roles within their organisations. Delivered virtually via SP Jain’s proprietary Engaged Learning Online (ELO) technology, the programme offers a real-time and immersive classroom experience.

Students from recent batches hail from 15 different countries, including India, Australia, Italy, Malaysia, Middle East, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Turkey, UK, USA and Zambia. The programme participants have an average work experience of about 12 years and hold a variety of middle tier to senior management positions. In total, a batch brings more than 600 years of diverse managerial and functional expertise into the classroom and enriches the student learning experience.

Top industries include automation, aviation, real estate, education, healthcare, and hospitality. Employers of this batch include leading companies such as Mahindra & Mahindra, Electricity & Water Authority (Bahrain), Panasonic, Visa, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Ernst & Young, The Himalaya Drug Company, Nokia, and Hewlett Packard.

Commenting on the growth in student enrolment, Dr Gary Stockport, dean, Executive MBA and professor of strategy at SP Jain, said, “With the goal to craft global leaders, the EMBA programme has helped our students gain knowledge and capabilities through disruptive learning. With a fine blend of practical and theoretical knowledge, the EMBA programme provides an excellent opportunity for working professionals who want to become strong generalist managers and high quality future leaders. Our growing and vibrant EMBA alumni community is testament to this.”

“The EMBA is providing me with a clear view of how to look at an organisation as a whole and appreciate and prepare for the challenges I face as a leader in my organisation. The programme is designed so that after each subject, one can apply the knowledge directly to our work environment, which I experienced right after completing my first course. The programme has brought me in touch with a class full of fine professionals from various industry backgrounds who have significantly enriched my learning experience, especially during group assignments and networking outside of the class. Attending this EMBA programme while working full-time has helped me organise my time and make adjustments during weekends by discussing with my family. This, in itself, was a great learning experience,” says Anil Chelamchela, a programme participant. A senior tech leader with over 22 years of experience in technology, Anil serves as a senior director of IT at a leading Fortune 100 company.

The SP Jain EMBA programme is widely acclaimed for offering real-world practical knowledge, global faculty, a rigorous selection process for aspirants, and quantifiable career acceleration outcomes. The newly designed world-class curriculum focuses on developing strategic thinking, critical analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills among students while expanding their global perspective. The EMBA recently won an award under the category “New age institutions providing online degree” at the Education Innovation Awards 2022, hosted by Entrepreneur India.
