Established in 1903, the school campus was developed in the 1990’s to include more amenities like an auditorium, a marble-floored stage, three computer labs, a lift and more classrooms.
The campus also houses a well-stocked library, science laboratories, smart classes and amenities for a range of activities such as Abacus.
Rosary Convent High School imparts education up to the 10th standard and prepares students for the SSC Matriculation Examination conducted in class 10. The medium of instruction is English. The school introduced the ‘smart classes’ trained, tested and found all teachers adept in using this innovative and interesting methodology of teaching. In the pandemic time, teachers were trained to use remote technology to drive instruction aligned with their planned curriculum. The Abacus classes ensure that the students enjoy speed of learning in the much-feared subject, mathematics.
A range of activities such as religion and moral science, communications, drama, general knowledge (debate), dance, art, and music are conducted in the class rooms, library, science laboratory and computer laboratory. Through socially useful productive work (SUPW), PT, clubs, environmental studies and fun on the playground, the students get vitally related to community life. Training and activities are also provided in sports including karate, gymnastics, badminton, tennis, basketball, volleyball, skating, aerobics and yoga.
Formative assessments are held four times a year along with the assessments of slip tests and summative assessments. Four sets of slip tests will be conducted before every formative assessment, the marks of which will be considered for FA. Students should not miss any of the assessments as promotions are based on their averages. An annual attendance of 75% to 80% is compulsory.
