The Technological Institute of Textiles and Sciences (TIT&S), Bhiwani, is a co-educational institute approved by the Delhi-based All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It was founded in the 1943 by the great visionary Padma Vibhushan Dr. G.D. Birla, and is run by the Birla Education Trust. The institute is affiliated with the Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, for all its UG and PG programs. The institute has a textile factory where students receive training in actual mill working conditions. This provides practical and theoretical training, equipping the students to handle industry jobs well. TIT&S also promotes international understanding and goodwill by providing training facilities to students from other countries. The institute offers special condensed courses for students from Kenya, Mauritius and Iran, and many foreign students have also completed regular B. Tech. degree programs from the Institute. The institute boasts 100 percent placement in textiles and around 85 percent in all other branches of engineering. Prominent textile companies that visit the campus each year for recruitments are Vardhman, Arvind Mills, Ashima Mills, Voltas, Huntsman International, Trident Ltd., JCT, Must Garments, Nahar Fabrics, OCL, and Raymonds. Companies from other fields include Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL, Infosys, Honeywell, Birlasoft, Quark, and Oracle Financial.
